Decorating Style Tips

While a lot of people think Christmas lights are only multicolored, you have numerous choices for your windows. White lights and blue lights both lend a very graceful touch, in particular when you have lots of snow outside. White lights may be applied year round too, on your back porch to lend a magical air or indoors to embellish special rooms. (You may likewise use multicolored lights all year: I like to hang lights up in my kids’ bedrooms around the ceiling rather of using a nightlight.) Red lights are outstanding for Valentines and don’t forget red, white, and blue for the entire summer; it’s great for each holiday from Memorial Day to Independence Day to Labor Day. Every Holiday seems to have a special combination. So do sports teams – celebrate the next Superbowl with the colors of your favored team.

Coordinate your window lighting with other decorations in your home. For instance, if you’re doing a lot with holly, you could do red and green lights only. If you’re using a White Christmas theme, then evidently clear lights are the choice. If you’re going to have a Scottish theme with plaids, match your light colors to the plaid you’re using. Take a step back and coordinate your colors and your room will have a veritably pulled together look.

4Great solar lights that don’t disappoint!
By JJ
These solar lights work really well, and I am glad that I got them! There are two small solar lights in the box that come with some stakes that you can attach to the lights then stick into the ground. Once in the ground, the lights will absorb sunlight throughout the day, then at night they will glow, changing from red light to green to blue in no particular order. When the light is changing colors, you might catch a slight hint of purple or cyan or yellow, but the light will mainly focus on the main colors of red, blue, and green. The one problem I have with the lights is that sometimes when it rains, the water will leak into the light, and that light will stop working. But as soon as you pour the water out, by turning the light upside down, the light will start working again. Now, water doesn’t leak in often, maybe once or twice a year, but it is an annoyance when it does. Also, if you are expecting these lights to light up a path or something to walk on, they won’t do that; they are mostly for decoration, but I didn’t find that a bad thing. One last thing is just a obvious note that on cloudy and rainy days, they probably won’t light up that night from lack of sunshine, but that can’t be helped! Overall, these are some very pretty solar lights that I absolutely recommend for decoration!

EDITED TO ADD – Although I did enjoy these lights while I had them, they only lasted 1 year before they stopped working. I just wanted to edit this in order to give potential buyers an idea of how long these will possibly work for depending on your conditions.

3Handle with care
By Norman C. Sweet
All of these lighted garden products seem to be quite fragile – poor overseas manufacturing. I returned a previous set from another manufacturer (the globes on a stick – don’t buy ‘em) who was 0 for 4. This time, I bought two 2-packs, one worked for a few hrs then quit and magically, after 5 days in full sun (and a bit of jiggling) it started up again. Poor soldering perhaps? It’s still working after two weeks, but I dare not touch it!
