Jesse and I had an experience of a life time this past weekend. A friend of ours got us tickets to the NASCAR race in Phoenix. For the past two years we’ve watched races on TV and chose a driver number 48 Lowes Jimmie Johnson little did we know that we picked a winner!
This weekend was so AWESOME. We sat up in the suite with all you can eat food and drink, a/c and sound proof glass. It was just like on TV we felt like we were with the rich and famous. Not only did we enjoy the race from wonderful Bobby Allison suite boxes but we got pit passes which allowed us to down to the pits before the race and see the pits and the pit crews check out the drivers cars, we happened to be there as they were tapping a commercial pretty cool. Not sure if anyone saw the race on TV but there was nothing like being there and watching it first hand.
Nana Sue and Pa watched the kids for a whole day so it was just Jesse and I. It was so great. I would love to do it again, but to actually buy suite tickets is impossible they cost more then a house payment and are rented out by various sponsors. We sat in the Miller Lite suite so when Dale JR crashed his car everyone cheered (dale races for budwiser for those of you who don’t know)
Such an AWESOME time. I am still pretty excited!!!

Things are okay at the Colburn household we have our health our home food on the table and smiles to get us through the day.
Ministry is going pretty good Jesse is leading worship for a college age group on Saturday nights called Elements. He is in charge of getting to know people and get them plugged in because he just has that likable bubbly personality. I’ve kind of made it my own job to make and bring some kind of goodies to share, cookies, brownies, candy that kind of thing. We also help provide the drinks. The last couple of months our support has been a little low which puts a little crunch on things but we are doing good.
David turned one, he’s taken a few steps and I think the next couple of weeks he’ll be walking all on his own. He had his 1 year shots and caught a virus from them which then turned to croup poor guys. Croup is a really high pitched painful cough after about a week he was doing much better. Both kids are doing great! just the normal cough and cold that this time of year brings. David also had a blood test to see if he is allergic to any foods since his sister is we kept him away from all dairy, eggs, and peanuts this whole year just in case. The results are in and David is not allergic to anything. So we will try him on milk soon and see how he does.
Just wanted to give an update. Life seems busy it’s really hard to stop and smell the roses when all you see around here is dust and cactus. HA!
